“…some of my favorite times together are the times that things didn’t go so well...”
Like that one time we were on our way to Dairy Queen for Free Ice Cream Day and we popped not one —but TWO tires on the 5 minute drive there…
...Or that one time we went mini golfing where I hit that ball with everything in me, which somehow the ball ended up smacking you right on your shin bone (my aim could still use some work)...
Now our dead battery story can be added to this list. 📝
Flashback to 2015 when I called my mom to ask her to bring us some fix-a-flat that day at DQ.
I remember her asking me on the phone “How’s Lance? Is he upset?” I told her “Oh yeah, he’s fine. We’re just eating our ice cream.” ...since that day my mom and I have talked about that conversation more than a handful of times.
Later that day she told me “that really says a lot about his character” and to this day that couldn’t be more true. How he reacted in that situation demonstrated who he was deep down. That those are qualities I would want in my husband or in a father to our future babies one day 👶🏼
He wasn’t yelling or angry, he wasn’t mad, obviously he was bummed that we then had to spend our day and his money at Discount Tire…but who wouldn’t be?
You never know someone’s true colors until they’re faced with adversity. (i.e. having two popped tires on your brand new car as a 20 year old or having a dead battery leave you stranded the day before a big exam).
Time and time again he shows me his true colors and dang it every time it makes me love him more.
Not everyone has a spouse that supports them, laughs with them everyday AND makes them want to be a better person…let alone his good looks, intelligence and my entire family loving him, that’s just icing on the cake at this point.
Bad luck is bound to strike from time to time, but having someone there to lessen the suck? I wouldn’t trade that for the world.
Where’s my Amazon Prime members at?! 🙋🏼♀️
About 6 months ago I heard this cool story about Amazon, and as a faithful Prime member for the last 5 years this story has stuck in my mind ever since.
Amazon started back in the day as an online book store. No groceries, clothes or electronics, just books. 📚📖
Now, we know Amazon as our go-to for everything we might need. Pooper scooper? They have it. Cute shirt? They have it. Random gag gifts that nobody needs EVER? Yup, they have that too!
But WHY is Amazon so successful? Because they started by doing ONE THING. They sold books. They just did that one thing really well. They became the best ebook website out there, then they added in electronics, fashion, their own streaming service…. the list goes on and on.
In a nutshell, what does Amazon’s model teach us? To start small. That less is better.
So many times we feel like we need to stop eating sweets cold turkey, go to the gym every single day for an hour, then we’re doing cardio in the morning and going keto, then before you know it you’re stressed yourself out so much this whole lifestyle change is way too much to manage. Who can relate?! 🤦🏼♀️
Now it’s become unattainable and not something you can keep up with...so it’s likely that you fall off the bandwagon and end up right back where you started, even with the best of intentions 😕
Let me say it louder for the people in the back…...LESS IS BETTER! ❕Stop trying to do everything all at once! Go sell your books, whatever that is for you. Get really really reallyyyyyy good at one thing and THEN add one more. Start selling books AND electronics 🤓
✖️Adjust to your 3 day/week gym schedule before adding in a 4th day.
✖️Eat your lean protein and whole foods before adding in supplements.
✖️Start hitting your gallon of water every day before you decide you need to start drinking celery juice.
Create changes you can see yourself holding to long term. You’re a reflection of what you do everyday, not every once in a while.
Because look at Amazon now...they’re still out there selling books 😉
“You don’t have to sacrifice femininity to be a savage” ❕❕
I used to be so paranoid about my deadlift form.
It got to the point where I got stuck in this cycle of only picking up weight I knew I could hit, because I was so scared of hurting my back...that lasted for a good 1.5 years 😅
Last summer I had this big revelation;
I was so paranoid over my form, that I had never actually gotten hurt...but I let the fear of the *what if* literally keep me from doing it...
2 days ago when I hit this PR, I was having kind of an off day, or that’s what I told myself at least.
I was tired, there were no platforms open, it wasn’t my opening exercise, I had already done almost 10 working sets, hungry, no pre workout...
I was texting @__semety at the time, who in a nutshell told me to boss up, stop whining and turn on Beyoncé
So I said screw it, added 2x25’s to the bar, and busted out this 5x235lb PR while in prep, that’s about 2x my body weight 😈
...then attempted 255lb 3x and could barely get it off the floor LOL
After watching this back, I for sure had more reps in the tank even if my legs were shaking like a leaf the entire time
Everyone of us is stronger than we think we are. And if you’re anything like me, fear might very well be the only thing standing in your way too.
Weightlifting is a mental challenge just as much as it’s a physical challenge. Your mind will quit much sooner than your body will.
“Develop a strong mind and you will live a strong life...a strong mind does not let fear get in the way of success” 🔋
Did you know that 92% of people who set New Year’s Resolutions don't actually achieve them? 😕
Why? The goals are great, but the plans suck. They’re not specific enough.
Think of a goal you have. It could be big, crazy, anything. Weight loss, business, family, relationships, whatever you want to achieve in life. Have something in mind?
Now, take 5 seconds and think of how awesome it would feel to have that goal achieved, that dream becoming a REALITY 🙌🏼 Feels good, huh?
Now let’s take 5 seconds to imagine the biggest, craziest dream we have, never coming true. Not even getting close to it 😔 Different feeling on this one, isn’t it?
You want to have six figures in the bank or a bikini body on deck? Then listen up, here’s how to make it happen 👇🏼
✖️MAKE THEM SMART: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Time-bound. That means elevating your NYR from *I want to lose weight* to “By August 1st I want to lose 20lbs, to make that happen I need to lose ~3lbs a month, which fits into my big picture goal of setting an example for my family to value health and fitness.”
✖️WRITE THEM DOWN: put it on your bathroom mirror on a post it note, on your fridge, in your car, slap yourself in the face with your goals every day.
✖️BREAK THEM DOWN: Break down your goals SO SMALL, down to what you need to do on a daily basis to get there. For example, let’s say you want to lose 20lbs in 6 months:
20lbs in 6 months = ~3lbs per month = .75lbs per week = lifting 4x per week + implementing cardio when needed.
✖️HOLD YOURSELF ACCOUNTABLE: whether it’s hiring a coach, commiting to a schedule, finding an accountability partner, create mini competitions with you and your friends (step goals anyone? ;)). Create a system that works for YOU, despite the motivation you may/may not have.
✖️REWARD YOURSELF: maybe every 5lbs down, you’ll take yourself to get a pedicure. Or every week you get your workouts in, you’ll do your cardio outside. Maybe when you’ve hit the halfway point, you’ll get a new workout outfit or product. Hard work deserves a reward!
Achieving whatever you want in life comes down to preparation and daily execution 🤓 what’s your goal? ⬇
🗣 The ONLY limits you have, are the ones you BELIEVE.
🗣 The ONLY limits you have, are the ones you BELIEVE.
✖️I’m bad at yoga
✖️I’m not flexible
✖️I can’t sit still
✖️I don’t like meditation
✖️I can’t focus
✖️I don’t have time to add another thing onto my plate
Do you know what all of those statements have in common? (other than the fact that they all came out of my mouth)
They’re all lies. I’ve been lying to myself.
Why? FEAR.
Scared of trying something and failing, of experimenting with something new and not liking it, then becoming a quitter in spite of that.
I’ve been spewing all of these self limiting beliefs into my mind that over the years I’ve seriously believed them as fact. Y’all our minds are powerful things. 🧠
Self limiting beliefs are like saying you don’t like tomatoes even though you’ve never had them. 🍅 You believe you wouldn’t like them based on what other people say, how they look, the texture, blah blah blah.
You let yourself BELIEVE in something that’s a complete LIE because experimenting would mean you could potentially be uncomfortable for just a second while you find out what is TRUE.
That split second of discomfort is what’s holding you back from discovering your new favorite food, your new favorite hobby or your new favorite outfit....the POSSIBILITY of discomfort….
THINK ABOUT HOW STUPID THAT IS. And that’s EXACTLY what I’ve been doing! 🤯
After trying out yoga, here’s the tea:
✖️I’m not bad at yoga, I’m a beginner.
✖️I’m not as flexible as I want to be, but I’ll work on that.
✖️I can sit still, I just don’t do it enough.
✖️I do like meditation, I’m just learning how to harness it.
✖️I can focus, it just doesn’t come naturally to me.
✖️I make time for what’s important for me.
What’s something you’ve created self limiting beliefs around? Drop it below and call yourself out! 👇🏼
For the past few days I’ve felt totally *meh*
I’ve definitely been in a slump lately 🙇🏼♀️
For the past few days I’ve felt totally *meh* for some reason. I’m having my best month yet in my business, helping more women than ever, spending more time with my husband and getting fun trips and exciting dates on the agenda for this year. Life’s been good.
So why do I feel 50 shades of *off* ? 🤷🏼♀️
Finding yourself in a slump sucks, especially when you feel like everything is going great and you have no reason to be unhappy.
So here’s my solution to help you beat the slump and get back to YOU in no time flat 🤟🏼
Step 1: Make a list of what you do every day.
Have your daily to do’s in your mind? Perfect.
Maybe it looks something like this: shower, work, stop by the store, fold laundry, do the dishes, pass out from exhaustion, etc.
Step 2: Now make a list of things that make you happy.
For me, this would look like: taking a bath, reading a book, walking my dogs/taking them to the dog park, watching shows with lance and spending quality time with him, facetiming my family.
Last step here, step 3: find which of those overlap. How many did you get?
The goal here is to get as many of your happy list items on your daily list 🌈
Like to read but don’t have time? Turn on an audiobook during your commute.
Love baths? Take a 15 minute bath in place of your shower every night.
Dishes ruining your life? Trade for paper plates to spare yourself the headache.
When we start to feel bummed out, a huge contributor to that is a lack of balance. Focusing too much in one area for too long. It’s easy to get wrapped up in work or school and sacrifice ourselves and our well being for what seems like the greater good. I know I’m guilty of that, I think we all are 🤦🏼♀️
No matter how you’re feeling, you can benefit from doing this little check in with yourself. Take inventory of your routine, take note of what brings you joy, and do as many of the happy things you can every day 🖤
Today I’m going to make time to walk my puppies, take a bath, and read my book before bed. Operation get back to normal: COMMENCE 😎
You hear it all the time...
You hear it all the time...
Tracking macros, counting calories, food logging, and the benefits that come with knowing your day in food.
Whether you do it or you don’t, odds are that if you haven’t personally done it, someone in your circle has.
If you’re trying to lose weight, tracking what you eat is VITAL to your transformation, and here’s why 👇🏼
✖️You need your body to be in a constant state of calorie deficit. AKA eating a little less than your body burns in a day, so that it goes looking for that extra energy in your body’s fat storage.
Knowing what your daily intake is, is crucial, so you can make adjustments when you need to. Like adding in cardio and lowering calories a little.
The EASIEST way to find what you should be eating in a day is right here:
✖️Take 2 weeks, weigh in fasted, undressed and after going to the bathroom every morning. Track everything you eat each day, not aiming for any certain number. After that 2 week period, look back at weigh ins.
➖Did they go up? Then you’re probably in a surplus, and need to cut back to lose weight.
➖Did they go down? Then AWESOME, you’re already in a calorie deficit, keep doing what you’re doing!
➖Did nothing change? Then your daily intake is peak to maintain your body right where you are, but you can move it up or down to create your desired result.
To anyone who’s back there saying “...but I don’t have time to track everything I eat…”
Well do you have time to not see progress? Because the longer you’re trying to *guess* what would work for you, is the longer you’re choosing to spend not seeing results 🤷🏼♀️
Make 10-15 minutes each night when you lay down in bed, and plug in your food for the following day. In no time you’ll be able to do this on the fly, but until it becomes second nature for you, give yourself a minute to get the hang of it! 🤓
I didn’t start seeing results until I started tracking my food. I was eating pretty healthy, whole foods, but I was eating too much for what my body needed.
PSA: fruits and veggies have a caloric value too and you very well can gain weight just by eating “healthy” 🙃
Have you or do you track your food? Why or why not?
2 more days of being 22 🥳🎉

So what’s this whole coaching thing about anyways? 🤔
So what’s this whole coaching thing about anyways? 🤔
To anyone who wants to get some more info on @livelitefitness and how we roll, I thought I’d drop 3 facts that really represent what we’re about:
✖️I expect 100% effort, not 100% perfection.
I say this on almost a daily basis. I’m here to help YOU on YOUR journey. Life isn’t perfect! But what I do expect, is that you TRY. Every day, every workout, every meal. To prioritize your future self and put in the daily action that you need to, to be her. I don’t care if you fail, actually I know you’ll fail. You’ll mess up, miss training, track something wrong, AND IT’S FINE! We’ll roll with it and fail better next time.
✖️We get CLOSE.
One of my favorite things about my team is that I’m able to pour so much time into each woman, and help them with whatever they need from me at that moment in time. Assessing form videos, going through travel plans to find when/how they’ll work out, to helping make grocery lists for their family. When I say this program is totally custom, I mean it. I wear a lot of hats on any given day; coach, friend, confidant to cheerleader.
✖️I WILL call you out.
In our team app, I can see everything. It links with myfitnesspal, so I know what your intake is every day, what your weight was that morning, if you miss a workout, if you’re not training hard, when you hit a PR, your HR, LITERALLY EVERYTHING. So if you’re not doing the work, I know 😈 It’s such an awesome tool and holds you accountable around the clock, which gives online coaching a huge leg up over in person training these days.
I chose the word “elite” to be front and center when creating this team, because that’s exactly what we’re here to be. The word elite means “the most powerful, best educated or best trained group in a society.” We are here to show up and blow our past self out of the water, all in the name of succeeding and achieving every single goal we set. Period.
I created this team to be a group of women who radiate confidence and power, who choose to do the uncomfortable to be able to grow, and the women on this team do exactly that.

Never give up on something you can’t go a day without thinking about.
Never give up on something you can’t go a day without thinking about.
Competing has been something that’s been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember. For those of you who don’t know, both of my parents used to compete in bodybuilding back in the day, so I was exposed to this lifestyle from a young age.
It wasn’t until about two years ago when I found my passion for weight lifting did I ever think I would actually step on stage one day.
I started working with a coach back in July of 2018, hoping to step on stage sometime in the near future. I actually wanted to pick a show 12 weeks out from hiring my coach. LOL.
With a lot of big life changes happening one right after another late 2018-early 2018, I felt guilty for putting my wants before other people’s needs. So I chose to step away from working with a coach.
Fast forward to May 2019, when I sent an email in Lauren’s direction, who took me on, and we started a cut, with no show schedule on the table. All I knew at this point was that I needed some discipline again.
A few weeks in, I started to seriously think of this huge dream I put on the back burner again. Being around so many other competitors and like minded people, and watching stories and IG lives of every bikini competition I could find. I was getting the itch.
So I talked with my coach, and we set a game plan. Cut, reverse and then start prep early 2020. It sounds cliche to say that “it feels like that was just yesterday” but the fact that it was four months ago…just seems unreal.
If I were to be in these same shoes 1 year ago, I wouldn’t have been ready for this mentally or physically.
I’ve wasted so much time being fearful of the stupidest things. Sharing my journey, creating content, helping others, competing.
The only positive thing that fear has ever given me, is that it’s an indicator of exactly what I need to do.
We’re about 18 weeks out. I’m happy, strong and feeling grateful for the support system I have and the ability to do this with a coach who I trust wholeheartedly.
I’ve ran long enough. It’s time to fight.
