I’ve definitely been in a slump lately 🙇🏼♀️
For the past few days I’ve felt totally *meh* for some reason. I’m having my best month yet in my business, helping more women than ever, spending more time with my husband and getting fun trips and exciting dates on the agenda for this year. Life’s been good.
So why do I feel 50 shades of *off* ? 🤷🏼♀️
Finding yourself in a slump sucks, especially when you feel like everything is going great and you have no reason to be unhappy.
So here’s my solution to help you beat the slump and get back to YOU in no time flat 🤟🏼
Step 1: Make a list of what you do every day.
Have your daily to do’s in your mind? Perfect.
Maybe it looks something like this: shower, work, stop by the store, fold laundry, do the dishes, pass out from exhaustion, etc.
Step 2: Now make a list of things that make you happy.
For me, this would look like: taking a bath, reading a book, walking my dogs/taking them to the dog park, watching shows with lance and spending quality time with him, facetiming my family.
Last step here, step 3: find which of those overlap. How many did you get?
The goal here is to get as many of your happy list items on your daily list 🌈
Like to read but don’t have time? Turn on an audiobook during your commute.
Love baths? Take a 15 minute bath in place of your shower every night.
Dishes ruining your life? Trade for paper plates to spare yourself the headache.
When we start to feel bummed out, a huge contributor to that is a lack of balance. Focusing too much in one area for too long. It’s easy to get wrapped up in work or school and sacrifice ourselves and our well being for what seems like the greater good. I know I’m guilty of that, I think we all are 🤦🏼♀️
No matter how you’re feeling, you can benefit from doing this little check in with yourself. Take inventory of your routine, take note of what brings you joy, and do as many of the happy things you can every day 🖤
Today I’m going to make time to walk my puppies, take a bath, and read my book before bed. Operation get back to normal: COMMENCE 😎
