š£ The ONLY limits you have, are the ones you BELIEVE.
ā£
āļøIām bad at yogaā£
āļøIām not flexibleā£
āļøI canāt sit stillā£
āļøI donāt like meditationā£
āļøI canāt focusā£
āļøI donāt have time to add another thing onto my plateā£
ā£
Do you know what all of those statements have in common? (other than the fact that they all came out of my mouth)ā£
ā£
Theyāre all lies. Iāve been lying to myself.ā£
ā£
Why? FEAR.ā£
ā£
Scared of trying something and failing, of experimenting with something new and not liking it, then becoming a quitter in spite of that.ā£
ā£
Iāve been spewing all of these self limiting beliefs into my mind that over the years Iāve seriously believed them as fact. Yāall our minds are powerful things. ā£š§
ā£
Self limiting beliefs are like saying you donāt like tomatoes even though youāve never had them. š
You believe you wouldnāt like them based on what other people say, how they look, the texture, blah blah blah. ā£
ā£
You let yourself BELIEVE in something thatās a complete LIE because experimenting would mean you could potentially be uncomfortable for just a second while you find out what is TRUE. ā£
ā£
That split second of discomfort is whatās holding you back from discovering your new favorite food, your new favorite hobby or your new favorite outfit....the POSSIBILITY of discomfortā¦.ā£
ā£
THINK ABOUT HOW STUPID THAT IS. And thatās EXACTLY what Iāve been doing! ā£š¤Æ
ā£
After trying out yoga, hereās the tea:ā£
āļøIām not bad at yoga, Iām a beginner.ā£
āļøIām not as flexible as I want to be, but Iāll work on that.ā£
āļøI can sit still, I just donāt do it enough.ā£
āļøI do like meditation, Iām just learning how to harness it.ā£
āļøI can focus, it just doesnāt come naturally to me.ā£
āļøI make time for whatās important for me.ā£
ā£
